There are many ways to get involved with the American Cancer Society, including numerous volunteer opportunities.

1. Cancer Resource Centers
Volunteering at nationwide cancer resource centers involves providing information to patients and caregivers, connecting them to logistical and emotional support. Volunteers are trained to provide up-to-date information regarding cancer types, treatments, screenings, and services.

2. Discovery Shops
These shops sell gently used merchandise to raise funds to help fight against cancer. Volunteers assist with inventory, merchandising, sales, and customer service in shops across California, Iowa, New York, Oregon, Washington, and Virginia.

3. Look Good Feel Better
Volunteers in this program help patients learn techniques to help feel better about themselves during treatment. Experienced beauty professionals play a key role as volunteers, offering services such as makeup, hairstyling, and manicures.
